Passed +2 or Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name called)
Or
Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 45% marks & 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education obtained up to the session 2007-2009 in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002.
Or
Passed +2 or Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks or its equivalent and 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
Or
Passed +2 or Higher Secondary with minimum 50% marks or its equivalent and two year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Or
Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
And
Passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) for classes 1 to 5 conducted by the Government of Jharkhand under the guidelines laid down by the National Council for Teacher Education.

Imp * Also, those are residents of Jharkhand State who have passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test for classes 1 to 5 conducted under the guidelines laid down by the National Council for Teacher Education or have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by the neighbouring states of Jharkhand, are included in the appointment process for the post of Assistant Professor with the condition that it will be mandatory to pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) within three years after appointment and at the first available opportunity.

Imp *NOTE :Mathematics and Science Teacher Possessing minimum 03 years graduation qualification in any one of Science / Engineering / Technology / Agriculture and Mathematics subject notified in the Notification issued by the University Grants Commission, Specification of Degrees, March 2014 and thereafter and must have passed 10+2 or Higher Secondary with at least two subjects out of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Biology

For the appointment of Graduate Trained Assistant Teacher in Upper Primary (Class 6 to 8), the candidates who have passed +2 or Higher Secondary or its equivalent examination and Graduation or its equivalent examination from a recognized institute and are trained from a recognized institute and fulfill the following conditions:-

Graduation (or its equivalent) and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
Or
Graduation (or its equivalent) or Post Graduation with minimum 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) who has not been enrolled in graduation or equivalent training course before 29.07.2011.
Or
Graduation (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 45% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent training course obtained in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. Who were enrolled in the graduation or equivalent training course before 29.07.2011
Or
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
Or
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year BA/BSc Ed. or BA Ed./BSc Ed

Note : Social Science Teacher (Para Category) Possessing minimum 03 years graduation qualification in Arts / Humanities / Social Science / Commerce / Management subject as per the University Grants Commission, Specification of Degrees Notification, notified in March, 2014 and thereafter.

Minimum three years Graduation or Graduation (Honours) from a recognized institute in any one of the languages ​​notified by the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Official Language, Jharkhand, Ranchi as Hindi / English / Urdu / Santhali / Bengali / Mundari (Munda) / Ho / Kharia / Kudukh (Uraon) / Kurmali / Khortha / Nagpuri / Panchpargania / Oriya / Sanskrit as one of the subjects

Graduation (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed. (Special Education)
Or
Post Graduate with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade and 03 year Integrated B.Ed. M.Ed.
And
Passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) for classes 6 to 8 conducted by the Government of Jharkhand under the guidelines laid down by the National Council for Teacher Education.

• Persons with Disabilities(दिव्यांग अभ्यर्थी)-They will get 10 years of extra age relaxation in the maximum age limit. A valid disability certificate showing at least 40% disability is required.
• Disability Certificate(दिव्यांग प्रमाण-पत्र:): If the required disability certificate is not available during document verification, the Commission may consider the candidate’s eligibility based on the documents provided.
• Ex-Servicemen(भूतपूर्व सैनिक): Ex-servicemen will get 5 years of extra age relaxation in the maximum age limit. They must provide the required proof of ex-serviceman status.
• Para Teachers(पारा शिक्षक): Eligible Para Teachers with at least 2 years of service will get age relaxation equal to their service period. However, the maximum age will be limited to 58 years.
