 Eligibility Criteria for JTET

The minimum eligibilities for both primary level and upper primary level are as follows :



  • Nationality/Citizen – Candidate must be Indian Citizen

  • Required minimum Age – 21 Years

  • Maximum Age – As per the age prescribed by Jharkhand Govt’s

  • Criminal Record – Candidate Must Be Not have been convicted court in criminal case.


1.Eligibility for Primary School ( class 1-5 )2.Eligibility for Upper Primary School (class 6-8)

Passed +2 or Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and two year Diploma in Elementary Education . [ जो दिनांक 09.12.2007 या उसके बाद प्रारंभ प्रशिक्षण सत्र मे सम्मिलित हुए हों ]

OR

Passed +2 or Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 45% marks and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) obtained in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002. [who have attended the training session commencing before 09.12.2007]

OR

Passed +2 or Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

OR

Passed +2 or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)

OR

Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

Graduation (or its equivalent) or Post Graduation with minimum 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) [who have enrolled in graduation or equivalent training course after 29.07.2011]OR

Graduation (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed. (Special Education)

OR

Post Graduate with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade and 03 year Integrated B.Ed. M.Ed.
